Welcome to our website.
The 1st symposium on saproxylic beetles was held in Sweden in August 1999, the 2nd took place in Great Britain three years later in June 2002, the 3rd was held in Latvia in June 2004, the 4th took place in France in June 2006 and the 5th in Germany in June 2008. In 2010 we will continue this tradition and we would like to invite you to the 6th Symposium and Workshop on the Conservation of Saproxylic Beetles, to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in the University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty, Department of Forestry and Renewable Forest Resources, from 15th to 17th June, 2010.
Ljubljana is the capital of the Republic of Slovenia and it has over 267,000 inhabitants. The average temperature in July is 23.6 0C and the average annual temperature is 11.4 0C (further information on ARSO).
Ljubljana is certainly a green city, its very centre occupied by parks and forests, and it also represents an ideal starting point for the discovery of all the variety Slovenia has to offer.
We hope you will be able to join us in Ljubljana in 2010!
